SWD powervolleys Düren have filled the opposite position for 2026/27. New to the team is 18-year-old Estonian Andres Jefanov. The 2.07-meter attacker last played for Selver x TalTech and is already part of his country's national team.

Coach Christophe Achten calls him a huge talent and a player for the future. Of course he can still develop in many areas, but he already brings a lot for his age – including a stable and dangerous serve. In Düren, Jefanov is set to mature behind the experienced Jordan Canham while being a genuine alternative.

The newcomer already knows the arena: in April he watched the playoff semifinal against SVG Lüneburg live. He had never experienced such a big, full and loud hall before, he says – and can't wait to play there himself.

Jefanov wants to get stronger physically and gain experience at a high level, especially in defense and blocking. He also has help settling in: setter Robert Viiber, an experienced compatriot, is a leader both in Düren and in the Estonian national team.
