Marcin Ernastowicz, number 9, jumps to serve in the pink special jersey.

SWD powervolleys Düren have completed their squad for 2026/27 – with a player fans know very well. Outside hitter Marcin Ernastowicz returns to Düren. The Pole already wore the Düren jersey from 2020 to 2024 and was one of the Bundesliga's strongest outside hitters during that time.

In 2024 he moved to Tinet Prata di Pordenone in Italy, where he was a key player in the club's promotion to Serie A1. He now brings that experience back to Düren, where he is set to take on a central role in the new team.

Head coach Christophe Achten doesn't need many words to describe him: Ernastowicz played an outstanding season in Italy, knows exactly what Düren needs and adds a lot of quality in attack, serve and reception.

For the 28-year-old, the return is also personal. Over four years Düren became his second home, and his fiancée is from the region. Italy was an exciting experience, he says, but in Düren he finds an organization that is both professional and family-like. He is convinced the team can take another step forward this season.
