Team The setter duo is complete
Tobias Hosch joins from Herrsching and forms the new setter duo with Robert Viiber.

SWD powervolleys Düren have completed their setter position for the 2026/27 season. Alongside Estonian Robert Viiber, Tobias Hosch will run the game. The 25-year-old is from Baden-Württemberg and came through the youth program of VfB Friedrichshafen. He won promotion to the Bundesliga with Baden Volleys SCC Karlsruhe in 2023 and most recently played for WWK Volleys Herrsching.
Hosch says he chose Düren because he has a very good impression of head coach Christophe Achten and the team made a strong impression last season.
First choice
Achten is very pleased: Düren have signed a young German setter who has already carried responsibility as a starter and now wants to fight for his place in a top team. Hosch was the first choice. What matters, Achten says, is having two strong setters who compete with and support each other.
Above all, the 1.91-meter setter wants to keep learning – for example, giving his hitters as many sets as possible in a good rhythm.
