Team Big talent from Austria
2.10 meters, solid reception, powerful attack: Paul Nusterer strengthens Düren's outside hitters.

SWD powervolleys Düren have signed Paul Nusterer. The 21-year-old outside hitter joins from Austrian first-division club Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel, where he spent three seasons in the top flight. He is also part of Austria's extended national team pool. At 2.10 meters, he is unusually tall for his position.
Coach Christophe Achten calls him a very exciting player. He is particularly impressed by his solid reception – not a given at that height and age – combined with a very powerful attack. Nusterer is expected to develop in Düren while strengthening the team right away.
The newcomer sees his strengths in attack and in staying calm under pressure. He sees room for improvement in every skill and wants to work specifically on reception, defense, blocking and physical development.
For Nusterer, the move is a deliberate step toward the international top level and the first big transfer of his career. He was convinced by Düren's professional approach, the excellent player care, the family atmosphere – and the atmosphere at home matches.
