Team Two big middle blockers leave Düren
Siebe Korenblek and Petteri Tyynismaa leave, Philipp Lauter stays – the middle is being rebuilt.

SWD powervolleys Düren are rebuilding their middle. Philipp Lauter is the only middle blocker from the 2025/26 squad who stays in the position; the 24-year-old had already extended his contract early. Kyle Paulson also stays in Düren but moves to outside hitter. Siebe Korenblek (Netherlands) and Petteri Tyynismaa (Finland) are leaving.
Fingers crossed
Korenblek moves to France, while Tyynismaa's next club is still open. According to managing director Tomas Kocian-Falkenbach, both attracted a lot of interest – the natural course of things for young players who have clearly improved. The club keeps its fingers crossed for both and thanks them for their strong contribution.
A player for the highlights
Siebe Korenblek played three years for Düren and developed from a rough diamond into one of the league's best middle blockers. At 2.15 meters he was the tallest player in the Bundesliga and impressed with his huge reach in attack and block. He also grew into an emotional leader, and his plays regularly made the league's highlight videos.
Filling the middle quickly
Petteri Tyynismaa arrived in Düren in summer 2025, shortly after his blocking had caught the eye at the World Championship. In the Bundesliga he kept improving over the season.
The departures had been on the cards for some time, so the club is confident it will complete the middle for the new season soon.
